Call out for Artists

OTARC - autismAre you an artist with an ASD, or do you know someone who is?  We want to hear from you.

Following on from the success of our first Frame of Mind exhibition in 2014, OTARC are celebrating the 8th World Autism Awareness Day again with another exhibition in April and May.  Frame of Mind 2015 will be a group show, featuring work by artists who have an Autism Spectrum Disorder.

If you are an artist with an ASD , we invite you to submit images of your work for possible inclusion in the 2015 exhibition.  This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an autism awareness campaign launched by OTARC and La Trobe University, and to show your work in a significant group exhibition.

Frame of Mind 2015 is supported by La Trobe Museum of Art (LUMA), and will run for eight weeks at Writer’s Block Cafe @ The Borchardt Library.  This is a high-exposure venue at La Trobe University, Bundoora.

There are a few exhibition criteria:

  • The work can be any two-dimensional medium
  • The work can be any theme, but must depict a figure of some description, whether it be portrait, abstract, life drawing, fictional etc
  • All works will be framed for exhibit (please discuss with curator)
  • All works will for sale (with standard gallery commissions applying
